NAHB Certified Green Professional Harmonious Green Building Green Building: Magic Bullet or Myth? Green Building has become a very popular concept as people become more aware of the effect the building industry has on the environment. As this awareness grows, many misinterpretations and myths are forming, steering consumers from the true goal of Green Building. Myth: Not everything that is promoted by builders is valuable for the environment, the quality of life of the family/owners, and is not a good investment. Reality: There are many products and specific circumstances where green building products can promote a better of quality of life, contribute to the environment and provide a return on investment for the owner. Thirty Years: Hands on, Green Build Experts Spanjer Homes has experience with Green building due to the fact that we have been installing systems, using building materials and following standard procedures that conform to the Guiding Principles of Green Building since our establishment in 1978. Spanjer Homes has achieved the NAHB designation of “Certified Green Professional” (CGP). Three Team members from Spanjer Homes have completed the Green Building for Building Professionals Education course. We understand the importance of exploring new material and system implementation as new methods and materials become available.
