Vision

My name is Steve Spanjer. My love for construction dates back to 1970, when I worked as a carpenter during the summers and during high school and college intermissions. Between college graduation and starting Spanjer Construction, I worked as a supervisor for a custom home builder in Fort Collins. I have found that such a working foundation in the trades has been invaluable in solving building challenges and in creating interesting, one-of-a-kind homes and features. Since 1978, Spanjer Construction has proudly built a reputation on such unique custom homes. This capability, in addition to a reputation for integrity, trust, honesty, and communication, has allowed us to satisfy homeowners, some of whom are repeat customers.

In honor of Spanjer Construction Corporation's 25th year of building homes, a trade name, Spanger Homes, was introduced. "Spanjer Homes" more specifically describes where our company excels. Building homes and friendships remains our focus, our concentration, and our passion.

Having been born in Colorado, I have witnessed quite a metamorphosis of Colorado, and especially of the Front Range region. I feel it is important for our company to be a contributing part of our community, concerned with the area’s health and welfare. For nearly 30 years, Spanjer Homes has been active in the community, sponsoring events, conserving resources, and supporting local and state issues that benefit our region. We excitedly look to the future to continue our work in both community service and in the building industry.
